A new controversy is going
on in our country, that had started after the statement given by Mr. V.K. Singh.
While
speaking to the media in Ghaziabad, Mr. Singh said, "See, the thing is,
never associate local incidents with the Central government. There is an
inquiry going on. There was a dispute between families. The dispute...how did
it turn out?.. Where did the administration fail?"
This is how media interpreted one statement of VK singh and printed in one of the news paper:-
When asked if
the Government failed in view of the of burning of the Dalit family in Haryana
in which two children were burnt alive on October 19, the Union Minister said,
"For everything...like if somebody throws a stone at a dog, then the
government is responsible...it is not like that".
Later, Mr. Singh
tweeted his clarification and said, "My statement was not intended to
draw an analogy. My men and I put out lives for the nation irrespective of
caste, creed and religion".
Now, whenever these kind of
statements are given by any of our leaders than our media pickup these
statements and co-relate it with any Caste, Religion or Community but what I
want to clarify over here is that, whether it is Mr. V.K. Singh’s statement or
PM Modi’s statement; there is nothing wrong in that, but how media interpreted it
is a wrong way” and there is a big reason behind it.
Our media intellectuals are
mainly educated in English schools and colleges in which we cannot expect them
to teach our Hindi phrases and proverbs For ex: “if dog bark on you, you cannot
bark on dog” , now if I say this in Hindi “yadi kutta aap par bhauk raha hai to
aap kutte par nahi bhaukoge”. The meaning of this is "if some foolish person is
saying something to you just ignores it" but if I use this proverb on media, than
they will not get the right meaning because they are educated in Mcauley schools. So,
the meaning they interpret will be –“I am comparing media with Dog” and then
they will announce it in the public that I said that all media persons are Dogs
(some of them might be, I don’t know) but the meaning is totally different.
Similarly when PM Narendra Modi,
in the interview said, "any person if we are driving a car, we are a
driver, and someone else is driving a car and we're sitting behind, even then
if a puppy comes under the wheel, will be painful or not? Of course, it is. If
I'm a chief minister or not, I'm a human being. If something bad happens
anywhere, it is natural to be sad". It
exactly means that he feels bad for the incident even though he was not involved
in it but media related it with Dog and putted blame on Modi that “He said
all Muslims are dogs”. It is nothing but an epic example of foolishness of our
English educated intellectuals who are not deeply connected with Indian roots. They
don’t know Indian language as well as its proverbs and phrases. Off course it
is not completely their fault it is also the fault of our English education
system which does not teach our indigenous language and proverbs to their
students, but it is equally the fault of our so called media Intellectuals who
does not understand the responsibility of Media and not learned indigenous
languages and its terms and proverbs.
Similarly, when Mr. VK Singh said that- “if somebody throws a stone at a dog, then the government is
responsible”. He was addressing the journalists not Dalit families and he was
blaming on those journalists who are always blaming government for every
incident. If incident happened in Karnataka then they blame Central Government,
If it happens in dadri(U.P.) than also these selective journalists are blaming
GOI so what Mr VK singh wants to say is that “Don’t blame on Central government
for everything, Police is doing its investigation, Don’t spread hatred among
communities by calling it Dalit Murder or Muslim Murder”. But our English speaking
media again got it wrong and the time when Mr. VK Singh uses that proverb-- “if somebody throws a stone
at a dog, then the government is responsible”. Our innocent English educated
elite class did not understand the meaning and they again relate it with their
favorite pet animal Dog. It is very
necessary to mention that it was media who used word “Dog” for “Dalits” not Mr.
VK singh, Just like earlier they used this word for “Muslims” in case of Modi’s
Remark. So it is totally the fault of media( few journalists who doesn’t know Indigenous
proverbs and phrases) which misinterpret the words of Ministers and use their
stupid brains to change the meaning. They are the main cause of spreading
hatred amongst different communities and defame India in the world forum so
instead of fighting with each other we should focus on training of these stupid
English class journalists so that they could learn some Indian things which
could help the society rather than dividing it.
And one more appeal to
these English speaking elites is that – “A murder is a murder . It’s not Dalit
murder, Muslim Murder or Christian Murder and a killer is a killer it is not
Hindu killer or upper caste killer don’t stereotype any Murder with your
foolish approach. If a terrorism and a terrorist does not have any religion
than similarly a killer also don’t have any caste and a dead body also don’t have
any caste.Stop increasing hatred amongst communities and stop dividing India on
the basis of caste and Religion( like your Grand father Mcauley did).”
The main reason behind
writing this blog is to aware the people of India that next time when you hear
the word “DOG” , before reaching to any conclusion just ask some older person
the meaning of that phrase instead of getting the definition from Convent
class.
