Open letter to Sitaram Yechury of CPI(M) by a common citizen of India

Respected Sitaram Yechury ji,

You are born in a Telgu speaking Brahmin family in Chennai. You are General secretary of CPI(M) and member of Politburo of CPI(M) , you are also Member of Parliament in Rajyasabha from West Bengal. Earlier, you were elected as the President of the JNU Students' Union thrice during one year (1977–78). In 1978, you were elected as All-India Joint Secretary of SFI, and went on to become the All India President of SFI. You are the first president of SFI who was not from Kerala or Bengal. 

According to Wikipedia you married to journalist Seema Chisti, formerly the Delhi editor of BBC Hindi Service, she is presently the Resident Editor ofIndian Express, Delhi. Your first wife was Vina Mazumdar's[ Founding Director of the Centre for Women's Development Studies (CWDS)] daughter. Your daughter Akhila Yechury is a historian and teaches at Edinburgh University and University of St. Andrews. Mohan Kanda IAS, former Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, is Your maternal uncle. I do not know what is more Capitalistic and Brahmanical than that much influential family setup but let it be.

I have written these things so that you realize that – How much influential you are in Indian politics. Not only that, you are also very popular between students, especially in social sciences colleges where left wing dominates. One more reason that you are very popular amongst student wings is that that- During your college days, you were also president of JNUSU and SFI. The point of concern here is that student’s of communist party student wings like SFI, AISA etc still considered you as their hero and they believe in everything you say. Now, whatever you say or do in Rajyasabha or Media , students will follow those things because you are one of the hero’s of left wing.

Now, I without wasting more time, I am coming to my concern that is JNU issue. As we all know, few days back JNU students shouted some slogans that were against India. Most of the students who shouted slogans against India belong to Communist party student wings. They also celebrate festivals like Mahishasur Martyr day, Beef day etc that are totally against Hindu ethos but I am not going into this because they are atheist so they do not believe in any religion, so they celebrate those things in negligence. Although I can ask this question to these left wing organizations that – If you are really communist than why you only find faults in Hindu Religion. Why don’t you find faults in other religions too or you think that only Hindu religion is bad and rest others are good?

Because Hindus of this country are very calm and they forgive everyone who talks against their religion, so I am also leaving this topic that these students have shouted slogans or celebrated festivals against Hindu religion. But, I cannot forgive those who shouted slogans against my nation. So, I decided to find out the reason behind it and I meet with few left wing students and I have also checked their facebook profiles and you will be shocked to know that, I found that many of them believes in these things and they all think that it is also ideology of CPI. These things are   –

• Kashmir is not an integral part of India.  
• Afzal Guru is not a terrorist.
• Yakub Menon was innocent.
• Ishrat Jahan was innocent.
• Army is raping Border area girls.
• Hinduism is the main cause of every problem in India because of Brahminical Manusmriti, so leave Hinduism.
• They also want separate state for Kerela, Manipur, Nagaland, Bengal and few states of North east.
• They still believe in Aryan-Dravidian theory which has been proven wrong even Romila Thapar accepted it.
• They supports killing of CRPF jawans by Naxal and they supports these movements.
• They also think that condition of women is bad because of Patriarchy in Hinduism. I don’t know why they do not talk about condition of Muslim women or Christian women.
• They also do not believe in Nation theory and they do not consider India as a Nation.

These are only few findings there are lot more but while finding these things, I found that these students are very innocent and they do not know about these things during their school time. But, while they entered into Social sciences colleges their teachers told them about these things and most of the teachers belong to communist ideology and after joining left wing student wings. These students got some literature which makes them believe that communist party is also supporting these issues.

I am not part of any student wing and I also do not support any ideology. As a neutral mind citizen of India , I want to know that Do you support these statements. I just want to ask you these small questions :-

• Do you support Azad Kashmir movement?
• Do you support that Kerela, Kashmir, Bengal, North East should be separated from India?
• Do you think that Hinduism is the main cause of deprivation of Dalits and Women?
• Do you support Naxalite movement or not?
• Do you think that Army is only Raping Girls?
• What do you think Afsal Guru, Yakub Menon and Ishrat Jahan are terrorist or innocent?
• Is your party still believes in hoax that North Indian Aryans killed South Indian Dravids ?
• Do you believe in Nation theory and Do you support idea of Nation or Do you support India as a Nation?

Please give answers to these questions – Not for BJP/RSS/ABVP but for those students who are neutral or those who belong to your communist student wings so that they will not remain in doubt that whether they are doing justice with the communist ideology or not. Because In parliament you supported these students and at the time of Ishrat Jahan encounter , your party fellows declare her as innocent, same with the Afzal, Yakub case.

I just want clarification from your side about these issues. Do you believe in India as a Nation? If you are a true patriot and believe in Indian democracy please declare it. Please tell your students in Press conference that - Kashmir, Bengal, Kerela and North East are integral part of India and your party believe in united India and you are not a part of Breaking India forces. Please also say this in Parliament that Afzal, yakub and Ishrat are not martyrs they are terrorists and your party is not supporting them. Please mention this also in your statement that you believe in Indian constitution, Indian judiciary, Executive and Legislature.

I am seeking these confessions from your side because you are Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha and you are also part of the same legislature and your party is enjoying the benefits of the constitution of India. Your all student wings are getting educated in central universities by using the money of Indian Tax payers. Please clarify these things in front of Indian citizens. You can use Indian Express as a platform to reply because your wife Seema ji is resident editor of Indian express, Delhi according to Wikipedia.

I am also seeking the similar clarifications from D. Raja, Prakash Karat and other Communist leaders. I hope you will not disappoint the common citizen of India. Please reply.
